Nepal Government Going To Legalize Marijuana

For those who were unaware of the fact that Marijuana is illegal in Nepal and for those who were always high on marijuana, There is a an update from government that Marijuana is soon going to be legalized.

In the Joint meeting of parliament for fiscal year 2024/2025, the Finance Minister said that necessary laws will be formulated for cultivation and production of Marijuana for Medicinal Purposes.

He also said, “Legal Arrangements Will Be Made For Commercial Cultivation Of Marijuana For Medicinal Purpose.”

While the marijuana is medically tested in laboratory which shows the medicinal benefit to the person who consumes it. But, it will be a big problem for government to regulate it and it will be too much work to control if legalized.

But, the good thing is that Nepal has the ability to grow indigenous plant and have has proper land and climate to mass cultivate it. It can be good opportunity for Nepal to export it foreign countries and grab a spot in the top exporter of this plant. So, Let’s all hope that this might bring the overall development of the country Nepal.
